Altitude™ Giving

Investing in What Matters Most - Right Here in Our Communities

At CSB, giving back is part of who we are. Through Altitude™ Giving we invest in the communities we serve — supporting local organizations, fostering philanthropy, and creating opportunities for growth and connection across the Western Slope. It's what “buy local, bank local” looks like in practice: every deposit, loan, and dollar we manage stays close to home, funding the organizations and people who make these communities what they are.

Altitude™ Giving honors community as a cornerstone of our mission. In addition to dedicating our team through leadership involvement, we focus on two primary forms of giving: Cash Donations — direct contributions to organizations making a measurable difference — and Sponsorships — funding, time, and commitment to initiatives that strengthen community and inspire philanthropy.

Buy Local, Bank Local

When you bank with a local, independent bank, your money doesn't leave town — it goes back into local loans, local businesses, and local kids. That's the idea behind our Buy Local, Bank Local campaign, and it's the same idea behind everything on this page: every dollar deposited with CSB works for Ouray County, the West End, and the rest of the Western Slope.

Cash Donations: Partnering for Elevated Impact

Each year, we proudly support the Western Colorado Community Foundation (WCCF), providing most of the funding for the Ouray County Community Fund and the San Juan County Community Fund. On the West-End we partner with the West End Pay It Forward Trust (WEPIFT). These contributions help drive grant-making and funding initiatives across the Western Slope and especially in our local communities where the need is great.

Why WCCF & WEPIFT?
• Trusted partnerships in regional philanthropy
• Amplifies local impact through strategic grant-making
• Ensures resources reach those who need them most

OAK - Ouray Advocates for Kids

Citizens State Bank helped launch Ouray Advocacy for Kids to make sure local children have advocates and resources close to home, not just when there's a crisis, but as an everyday part of how this community takes care of its own.

Through their two flagship fundraising events, OAK raises money to support their efforts. Specifically, OAK supports needs across Ouray County through direct micro-grants — practical, fast-moving support that gets to families and programs quickly, without the wait of a larger grant cycle.

This is what “bank local” actually funds. It's not just interest — it's investment in the kids who'll grow up here.

Sponsorships: More Than a Logo

Beyond donations, we actively sponsor community organizations, events, and initiatives that foster connection, growth, and giving. Our sponsorships combine financial support with hands-on involvement, reinforcing our commitment to building strong, vibrant communities — the same commitment you'll find us bringing to local events.

Leadership Through Service

Altitude™ Giving isn’t just about writing checks—it’s about leading with purpose. Our commitment to community extends beyond donations and sponsorships. We actively serve on boards and committees that advance our mission of giving and strengthen the communities we call home. Through these roles, we contribute expertise, time, and passion to organizations that share our vision for local impact.

Organizations we support through leadership involvements:

Our Commitment to Community

Community banking is built on relationships, trust, and local impact. Altitude™ Giving reflects that commitment by reinvesting in the places where we live and work. Through donations, sponsorships, and leadership, we strengthen the fabric of our communities — because when our neighbors thrive, we all thrive.

Giving isn't separate from banking; it's an extension of our promise to serve with purpose. Buy local, bank local — this is where those dollars go.
