Customer Service Representative – Full-time, Telluride

Are you sick of the struggle to find housing in Telluride? Do you want to work for a local, employee owned company, while living in the heart of town?

We have the job for you! Citizens State Bank has an opening for a full-time customer service representative at our Telluride branch. The job includes subsidized housing.

In this role, you will be on the front lines of serving the people of Telluride. Day-to-day responsibilities include receiving deposits and issuing withdrawals; cashing checks; processing loan and credit card payments; selling products like cashier’s checks and safety deposit boxes; answering questions in person or by phone; and recommending other bank services. Our Customer Service Representatives are truly the face of Citizens State Bank!

In addition to these duties, you will work with our Chief Strategy Officer to shape our marketing and social media strategy. This includes coordinating the design and production of print and digital materials, regularly posting to our social media channels, planning events, and identifying potential bank partnerships.

Experience in banking and/or marketing is helpful but not required. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, unquestionable integrity, and a clear attention to detail. A resilient, positive attitude with the capacity to be appropriately assertive and maintain composure under pressure is a must. Pay starts at $15 an hour. This position offers full benefits.

Customer Service Representatives – Full- and part-time, Ouray/Ridgway/Silverton

We might have the job for you! We have immediate openings for full- and part-time customer service representatives at our Ouray, Ridgway, and Silverton branches.

In this role, you will be on the front lines of serving the people of these communities. Day-to-day responsibilities include receiving deposits and issuing withdrawals; cashing checks; processing loan and credit card payments; selling products like cashier’s checks and safety deposit boxes; answering questions in person or by phone; and recommending other bank services. Our Customer Service Representatives are truly the face of Citizens State Bank!

In addition to these duties, there is ample opportunity to pursue other projects, such as shaping our social media strategy or helping customers utilize online and mobile banking. Our employees are proud to be versatile and are always open to learning new things. As a small community bank, we are constantly adapting to the needs of the communities we serve.

Banking experience is helpful but not required. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, unquestionable integrity, and a clear attention to detail. A resilient, positive attitude with the capacity to be appropriately assertive and maintain composure under pressure is a must. Pay ranges from $31,200 to $41,700 dependent on experience.

Bookkeeper – Full-time, Ouray

Do you love crunching numbers and solving problems? Do you want to work for a local, employee-owned company dedicated to the people it serves?

We might have the job for you! Citizens State Bank has an immediate opening for a full-time bookkeeper at our Ouray branch.

In this role, you will be behind the scenes ensuring the bank runs smoothly. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing start-of-day and end-of-day functions; balancing all transactions across our five branches; processing payrolls for local businesses; verifying wire transfers; managing bank accounts with the Federal Reserve; printing and emailing statements; assisting Customer Service Representatives with transactions as necessary; answering questions in person or by phone; and recommending other bank services. This position is a great opportunity to truly learn the business of banking from the ground up.

A bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, or a related field is preferred but not required. Experience in banking, sales, or management is helpful but not necessary. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a flair for problem-solving, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers. An unquestionable sense of integrity and a willingness to manage multiple projects at once is a must. After a period of employment, employees are eligible to participate in our employee stock ownership plan. Pay ranges from $31,200 to $41,700 dependent on experience.

Loan Administrator – Full-time, Ridgway

We may have the job for you! We have an immediate opening for a full-time loan administrator at our Ridgway branch.

In this role, you will be assisting our lending team and working directly with our Chief Lending Officer. Responsibilities include coordinating and following up on loan closings; reviewing legal documents, such as appraisals; and completing underwriting analysis and estimates of value as needed. You will also be involved in onboarding new customer relationships; maintaining files; answering questions in person or by phone; and recommending other bank services.

In addition to these duties, there is ample opportunity to pursue other projects, such as shaping our social media strategy or helping customers utilize online and mobile banking. Experience with banking or real estate transactions is preferred. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, unquestionable integrity, and a clear attention to detail. A resilient, positive attitude with the capacity to be appropriately assertive and maintain composure under pressure is a must. Pay starts at $35,300 and is dependent on experience.
